The winner of the COTW vote for April 17-23 was Taylor R. and his Colorado Avalanche Winter Classic concept.
Taylor's concept went head-to-head with Brooks' concepts and prevailed this week. These guys are both talented enough that we could have done a best of 7 and it would go the distance.
The new COTW nominees for April 24-30 have been listed in the black poll on the side of the page. Voting ends on Friday at 11:59pm Eastern. It's your standard HJC poll. You need a Google account to vote and you need to be signed into it.
DT's Toronto Planets entry took this one. It's a simple logo set that is executed very well. The colour choices are excellent and really help this concept. Well done DT Concepts and we look forward to seeing more in the future!
It's now time for the next competition, the Falcons to Tucson Competition! The Arizona Coyotes are going to buy the Springfield Falcons and move them to Tucson in time for the 2016-17 AHL season. This new competition puts you in the place of the design team to create the new identity.
I've given this competition a two week entry phase. This allows the logo artists and extra week to put something together if they would like. For others this is a chance to give something new a try. TRY to create a logo. TRY a new more advanced template. Give the entries some more time and you may surprise yourself with what you can do. Entries are due on Friday, May 13 at 10:30pm Eastern.

Wouldn't my Pens concept from Friday be included into this week's COTW?
The second nomination came in after the 11:59 deadline
Well shouldn't it be like for everyday then because then every post on Friday gets shafted. Lucas' nomination only came the next day.
@Taylor: I agree with you. There's always an amazing concept that can't get put up for COTW because it's posted on Friday. Just look at your Pens concept or Matt's Sabres logo last week. Maybe the deadline could be 4:29 Saturday? Or the minute before Ryan writes his Saturday post?
I think any COTW nom has to be at made by midnight EST of that post. That way it's fair everyday tbh.
@Taylor: But then there's less chance of a concept getting nominated because some people only have time to look fully the next day
