Tuesday: Outta Time
Hi folks, I have 10 minutes to finish this post (thanks Ryan), so let's breeze through this.
TC M.- 2020 Winter Classic
Our lone concept today (come on folks, we're bleeding over here!) is from Friday writer TC. The Wild concept is a common fauxback design we see, striping all the way up the arms, with a lone stripe on the hem. It's common for good reason; it works. It gives the impression of an older style while still fitting a more simplified, modern aesthetic. The lighter color pants rarely work, especially with a jersey so dark; it creates an unbalanced, top-heavy design. The Red Wings jersey also works for a fauxback. The bold blocks of red on the yoke and hem interestingly juxtapose the thinner stripes of the hem and sleeve. The logo bridges this divide by combining a blocky shield and lighter elements in the outline and font. My biggest concern is the lack of stripes on the pants.
Grade: B
Gotta go, bye!
