Ducks Throwback #2 - 1993 Eggplant Jersey
On Sunday night the Ducks took warm-ups in the 1993 throwback road jerseys!
Just like the white versions we saw a few weeks ago, these throwback are very nearly identical to the original eggplant sweaters. The most obvious change is the inclusion of the Adidas logo on the back and front of the jersey.
The colours, numbers, and the neck are all very true to the 1993 edition. What unfortunately stands out is the black equipment that was worn to match the usual Ducks game jerseys. It really sticks out in a bad way and unfortunately took some shine off of the throwbacks a little bit.
I think it really would have worked better with the Ducks' 3rd jersey equipment for this season.
We saw these jerseys 5 years ago, but in Reebok Edge form and with matching equipment. I have to admit that I may like the 20th anniversary Edge version better. It's on my list of jerseys I need for my collection.
Next up for the Ducks is the Wild Wing jersey on November 1st!
