Wednesday: Fall Break to Fall Broken
Happy Humpday, ladies and gents!
It's back to class for me today after having the past two days of from studies for Fall Break. This may or may not have caused me to think today was Monday and forget to write the post, but here we are, so I must have done something right...

Adam G.- Phoenix Suns (NBA)
Overall Rating: 9.5/10
A Sun's look that shines like the star its named after.
Jay S.- Armstrong Arrows
Jay gives us a look at a team I've never heard and one I can't find much info on... the Armstrong Arrows. First off, really like the logo here. Not sure if that's something you created or something the team already has, but it's a really creative blend of the AA moniker and an arrowhead to represent the team. Outside the logo though, these jerseys fall kind of flat. With no red in the logo, the red seen in the striping seems kind of out of place as it has nothing to play off of on the front of the jersey. The numbers would work better on the dark if they were white instead of red. In all honesty, I'd either swap the red for blue on the home and white on the road or swap red for the color of the A's and detailing on the logos. This'd help the logo match the striping perfectly. Also, we always like seeing the back of the jersey to see how the NOB and #OB tie in to the rest of the set.
Overall Rating: 6.0/10
An arrow that takes it shot, but falls far from the target
TC Moore.- Arizona Cardinals (NFL)
After Jay's detour, we head back to Arizona. This time for the Sun's NFL counterpart. TC creates a solid look for the Cards, with the colors balanced beautifully across the board. The alternate is the true star here. A relatively traditional striping pattern that's unique in its own right. I'd love to see a set based around that. What I'm not in love with is the fact that there's yet another full-length yoke on the primary. At this point, I think this look has been played out in you concepts. Don't get me wrong, it looks good. But after seeing it one what seems like every other concept you submit, it really loses its luster. Maybe I'm just hypercritical because you're a fellow writer and I know what you're capable of, but I think it's time to start exploring some new artistic avenues. Take that Alt and really run with it. I think you'd surprise yourself with where it would take you.
Overall Rating: 6.0/10
By no means a bad look, but its time for something new.
TC Moore.- New York Jets (NFL)
There we go. No full-length yoke: check. Unique design: check. Well laid out colour balance: check. Even the number font is beautiful here. Plays wonderful off the logo. Really like the TV numbers within the upper arm pattern as well. The alt works as well, drawing from the Jet's throwback look and matching the striping to a t. Might be cool to try shoulder stripes similar to the typical jets look, but what you have certainly works for hockey.
Overall Rating: 8.5/10
Green means go. Go Jets!
That's all for today folks.
