Sunday: Hurry, It's Christmas Eve!
Said the annoying little elf on my childhood train set. Hi everybody and welcome back. It's Christmas eve so I won't go too crazy over things but I will let you know that we do have the usual COTW voting.
COTW Dec 15-21 vote (ends Friday @ noon ET)
Ok let's get festive!
Negatives: The main issue I have with this is that the numbers look really eig on the back with how far the hem striping comes up and the thin stripes on the jersey get to a point of being pixelated and it just brings your jersey down.
Overall: 7/10
Negatives: You should make the hem come up a little bit more. Otherwise i'll just disappear in the pants. Second, the logo on the chest and shoulders is overkill so I'd get rid of them. Third, don't be afraid to make your white outlines thicker.
Overall: 7/10
Negatives: My only gripe about this is where you put the affiliate logos on the sleeves. I can see it working on the sleeves if you did the numbers in the yoke but they just look out of place there.
Overall: 8.25/10
Negatives: I wish you would've used the Red's actual numbers instead of generic numbering. It would fit much better but this is coming from a guy who has a 1,000+ page book on authentic baseball jerseys.
Overall: 8.5/10
Negatives: Like I explained to you earlier TC, the Pirates are moving away from the red. It was nice in the mid 90's and 00's but it's run it's course throughout Pirates history and needs to be sent out to pasture. Also, same as the reds, use the teams actual numbers on all of the jerseys, not just the alternate.
Overall: 8.75/10 COTW NOMINEE
That's all I got for you guys today. Thanks for stopping by on such a busy day and have a Merry Christmas!

Adam G- Pittsburgh Penguins
Positives: As a 90's mashup this fits quite well. The thin stripes on the jersey remind me of the Blues jerseys when they had the prominence of red and the capital style hem stripe and arm stripe looks great with the Robo Pen.Negatives: The main issue I have with this is that the numbers look really eig on the back with how far the hem striping comes up and the thin stripes on the jersey get to a point of being pixelated and it just brings your jersey down.
Overall: 7/10
Burkus C- Philadelphia Flyers
Positives: Well when you said 90's you nailed it on the head there Burkus. The wrap-around, enlarged logo on an orange jersey with the multi striping on the arms works really wll as it really fits a theme overall.Negatives: You should make the hem come up a little bit more. Otherwise i'll just disappear in the pants. Second, the logo on the chest and shoulders is overkill so I'd get rid of them. Third, don't be afraid to make your white outlines thicker.
Overall: 7/10
John E- Lehigh Valley Phantoms
Positives: For the primary sets, I really like the shoulder yoke that extends into the name plate. It really give the phantoms a unique design to there jerseys. As for the alternate, I love the use of electric blue for the jersey color and the striping combo on the jersey with the arched nameplate is amazing.Negatives: My only gripe about this is where you put the affiliate logos on the sleeves. I can see it working on the sleeves if you did the numbers in the yoke but they just look out of place there.
Overall: 8.25/10
TC M- Cincinnati Reds
Positives: Being that the reds just use a stylized "C" for there logo, it only makes sense to go with the chest stripe. It's not the chest stripe that makes this jersey though. The hem striping on the jersey is really nice as well and I love the drop shadow on the numbers.Negatives: I wish you would've used the Red's actual numbers instead of generic numbering. It would fit much better but this is coming from a guy who has a 1,000+ page book on authentic baseball jerseys.
Overall: 8.5/10
TC M- Pittsburgh Pirates
Positives: As a Pirates fan, I can accept this as a well done concept. The striping on both the dark and light jersey look good and combine well together. Also, the accent stripe in the yoke is nice as well. As for the alternate, you knocked it out of the park (been waiting to use that pun) wen it comes to design. The classic two color design with the striping taking a queue from the 70's Pillbox hats. That's a jersey, if actually worn, I'd buy regardless of price.Negatives: Like I explained to you earlier TC, the Pirates are moving away from the red. It was nice in the mid 90's and 00's but it's run it's course throughout Pirates history and needs to be sent out to pasture. Also, same as the reds, use the teams actual numbers on all of the jerseys, not just the alternate.
