Sunday: Last Post of 2017!

Afternoon all. Steve here back with another Sunday post! I have a "Escape from New York" type of situation today getting out of work with Pittsburgh's version of the ball drop going on so I'm just going to get right into it. Before I do, I'd like to let you guys know that we have the COTY logo entries going on so get to it as well as the COTW voting.

Let's get to it!

Burkus C- Team Norway

Positives: I like the hint of gold added in not just in the logo, but in the collar. Speaking of the logo, it's a lot better than what they currently use. As for the jersey design itself, I like the blue yokes on both jerseys and how you kept red at the ends of the sleeves on the white jerseys.
Negatives: While the numbering is something that I could see Adidas putting on the jerseys, These don't seem to be the best choice.
Overall: 8.5/10

Lucas D- Philadelphia Flyers 

Positives: The equal balance of orange and black is nice to see on the Flyers jersey. It works well with the black base and orange hem.
Negatives: The half and half sleeves are something that's actually starting to become common recently and, quite frankly, it's being overused and this just looks like a much more simpler version of how the Flyers have the cuffs on there sleeves. Also, that half and half collar still looks terrible.
Overall: 7.5/10

TC M- Boston Red Sox 

Positives: I like that you included not only the actual Red Sox numbers into the design, but you (properly) did the "RED SOX" on the white and "BOSTON" on the color jersey. As for the design, I like the double stripe on the arms. it gives a feel of baseball sock striping and the hem stripe works well with it.

Negatives: That roundel logo on the alternate jersey looks really big on the jersey, but that could be the hem stripe. Also, just the color balance of it seems off to me compared to the blue jersey. Finally, I would like to see all the socks match the design of the sleeves.

Overall: 8.5/10

TC M- Philadelphia Phillies 

Positives: Another Philly team I could live without, I really like the retro alternate you have. the half sleeve with the red and powder blue as the base looks amazing and that'd be something I would definitely wear. As for the primaries, I like the yoke on the white jersey to help balance out the white with the red and I also like the simple sleeve striping to put concentration on the hem stripe.
Negatives: I get that you wanted to have some type of pinstripe going on but the hem stripe just looks really strange with it. Also, why don't you just use the "Phillies" script instead of that terrible liberty bell logo?
Overall: 7.75/10
