Edmonton Oilers Throwback Jersey

The Edmonton Oilers unveiled the throwback jersey that they will wear during 4 select games on the 2018-19 schedule to celebrate their 40th anniversary.

The Oilers brought back their classic royal blue uniform and will wear it against four former Smythe Division opponents this upcoming season.

November 29 vs. Los Angeles

December 9 vs. Calgary

December 31 vs. Winnipeg

March 7 vs. Vancouver

 

We also got a look at the 40th anniversary patch that will be on the right shoulder of every Oilers jersey during 2018-19.

 

What else is there to say about this jersey? We've seen this jersey before and it's a classic jersey that seems well liked by most. I suppose this raises the issue of which jersey you prefer as the Oilers home sweater.

I do think that the 40th anniversary logo is pretty solid. I really like the drop shadow on the numbers and how the shades of blue and orange change on the logo when it is applied to the throwback uniform.
