Sunday: What a Week!
Hi everybody. Welcome back to HJC. What a week it's been for hockey jerseys. We get the Jets to unveil there throwback style jersey, the Isles new alternate logo on the helmet gets revealed, and a slew of other things that just makes your head spin. That's not a bad thing though.
Today I wanted to share something that I stumbled upon while playing with my single board computer. I was able to put the Linux-based vector program Inkscape on it and run it without issue. This is actually impressive being that the computer was only $35. I'll show it off once I get some of my vectors over on the single board (it's a raspberry pi) and get some concepts made.

Okay let's get to it!
Positives: The concept overall is a very impressive one. The Jets logo you created for the jersey gives the old logo a nice, modern spin on it and the "JETS" on the shoulders works as well. As for the jersey, sticking to the original style of the jersey with the wide stripe with the accent stripes on the arms.
Negatives: I'd really like to see a back of this jersey. Also, the red stripe at the bottom of the hem really leaves this jersey a little bare.
Overall: 8.5/10
Positives: The simplicity of both jerseys is really what helps it stand out. The plain striping on the dark jersey with the white accents on the striping and cuffs really help give this design a unique look. As for the white jersey, the yoke was an excellent choice.
Negatives: The simple red stripe with the blue cuffs on the white jersey makes the jersey look really bare compared to what you've done with the dark jersey. Make them match each other and this would be near perfect.
Overall: 8.75/10 COTW NOMINEE!
