Less than an our ago at the time of writing this (10:30am EST), the Capitals took to twitter to confirm this leaked toddler jersey as authentic, and to show us their full kit for the upcoming navy yard outdoor game in March.

Right away, these jerseys are somewhat similar to what the Colorado Avalanche wore as their alternate in the last 2 season of the Edge era, particularly with the curved white yoke, and monochome white version of the usual Capitals numbers on a Navy jersey. That being said, we now know that the hem stripe is as pronounced as it is. This likely in the same vain as the oversized numbers worn in outdoor games to help audiences at the game see the design, and as part of the whole kit, add red to the centre of the jersey where the would otherwise be none. The socks are similar to their current white socks, with thicker stripes and no space between the blue and red
Other interesting details of the kit include the 3 star W logo being placed on the right leg of the pants

The numbers themselves have stitched details in them, resembling the Pentagon, however, according to Chris Creamer of Sportslogos.net, it's meant to resemble the original city outline of Washington DC from the early 1800s (pre-1835).

A look at the main CAPS crest shows that it is not stitched in normal fashion, but a better version of the chrome style logos seen in the 2014 & 2015 Stadium Series games.
