Let's check out some of the Los Angeles Kings Redesign Contest entries that have come in since yesterday's post-

If you're looking for inspiration for a concept, allow me to show you something truly terrifying! In the spirit of Halloween, I give you the worst LA Kings concept you've ever seen, made by yours truly many years ago!
Yes as if those awkward middle school years couldn't be anymore cringe inducing, I give you....whatever this is supposed to be. Now I could always take an Oilers/Blackhawks jersey and put some nicer logos on it, but that's not the point. The point here is to take something away from this to use in your concept...that and if you're just starting out, remember your first concepts will always be your worst if you keep practicing, but then again, they're supposed to be, you're learning!
COTW resets for the week, Joe D. takes on Steven G. for this week's crown. Check out the concepts on the side of the blog (remember to sign into your Google account to see the vote) and vote before Friday at noon EST.

On with today's 3 concepts!
Team Central America Continental Cup Concepts (By: Brooks F.)
+ Colour scheme is pretty solid. Despite a lot of flags in Central America (Going to assume this includes Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panama, Belize, Costa Rica, possibly the Caribbean or Mexico to fill the roster) being mainly light blue, I think of green
+ Logo has a nice international feel to it, similar to the World Cup of Hockey's NAU23 team
+ Striping reminds me of the Prince Albert Raiders mixed with the Ducks
+ Great execution
- Pants could use some colour
- I think I'd like the green jersey better with black helmet, but that' super minor

Spruce Grove Saints AJHL Concepts (By: Vaughn R.)
+ For a team with such an outdated logo, Vaughn seems to make it work, striping and logos go together well
+ I like how there isn't a white light jersey, and yet there's still enough cohesion to make it work
+ Alternate reminds me of the late 90s Sens away, looks good
+ Decent execution
- The spacing on the numbers is really weird, it looks like 3 7
- On the alternate, the lack of an outline on the numbers hurts visibility quite a bit
- The weird presentation still bothers me, making the gloves and helmet the same size (a lot smaller) and putting them on both where the helmet is now would help a lot
- Don't forget to credit where you got the SUNCOR logo from

If you're looking for some inspiration that's a little more well thought through, this will help I think, if you can't tell, I love the shield primary logo! This concept was made 2 years later, and what a difference two years can make in terms of concept making!

Toledo Walleye ECHL Concepts (By: Nolan O.)
+ With double blue mania that was in full force in the minors a few years ago over, now would be a nice time to see a team try this colour scheme again and do it well, like here
+ Home and road remind me of the Pens 70s jerseys, but they're different enough to be their own thing
+ Solid loog choices and number font
+ Of the 3, the alternate is my fav by far, that's a sharp alternate!
- Primary logo is a little small for my taste
- It would be interesting to see how these jersey would look with the grey related with yellow, that would add a lot of colour to the jerseys
