NEWS: NHL 100 Classic Apparel Appears on NHL Shop
From an ascetics standpoint, not much is known about the NHL100 Classic. So far, only the teams playing and the event logo have been officially unveiled, but today, we may have gotten a better look at what the game may look like.
Currently on the NHL's official shop (at least at the time of this posting), there are a few pieces of apparel with NHL100 classic branding on it that show a bit more than just the event logo.

As opposed to the vintage look that many had hoped for, the NHL has appeared to have taken a more modern approach to this game, just like the Centennial Classic that took place in January of this year. The most intriguing part of this, though, is the use of gray in the logos, instead of their normal white coloring. Considering that Centennial Classic apparel also used a flat gray for their logos, which turned out to be a metallic silver on the jerseys (as you can see below), it may be safe to assume that this game's jerseys will again feature metallic silver.
Assuming they have not been taken down by the time you read this, you can check out the NHL Shop pages here, here, and here.
Do you like the more modern approach that the NHL is taking with this game and the Centennial Classic, or would you prefer a more historical looking game like the Winter Classic? Let us know in the comments!

A little diassappointed they're not going with 1917-18 throwbacks from the innagural season considering this game is celebrating one of the first 2 games ever played. I guess it'd be too perfect to wear 100 year old NHL jersey designs when celebrating 100 years of the NHL. Though it is the latest trend, with the NHL Centeninial not even attempting throwbacks, and the Maple Leafs wearing a 99 year old Jersey design exactly 100 years to the day of their first NHL game (which was technically the first ever played as it started before the Montreal vs Ottawa game later that same day), instead of wearing the actual jersey design they wore in that historic game. Albeit the jersey the Leafs will wear is a better looking design lol.
