FHL Adds Teams In Elmira & Mentor

Every year we get new teams in the Single-A hard hitting Federal Hockey League. The league lost the Cornwall Nationals and Berlin River Drivers this off season as both franchises folded. However the league trucks on, and two new franchises will join the league in Elmira (who recently lost their ECHL Jackals), and a new pro hockey city, Mentor, OH.

We'll start with the Elmira Enforcers!

The logo features a police officer or certain South Park character ready with his hockey gear, flexing his enormous biceps through a circle created by the curved scripts. The team's colours appear to be black, kelly green, and grey. The officers badge has 607 is a regional dialect, the area code for Upstate New York (though it's more an Albany expression). Jerseys have yet to be unveiled at this time or how this logo will be used on the jerseys if at all.

Hurry on Lemiwinks, it's off to Mentor where the Icebreakers are taking sharks to the minor leagues, but with a twist...in that Mentor is nowhere near the ocean.

Here we have another angry mascot, this time a light blue great white shark holding a hockey stick over a script. The Ice Breakers is split along the middle with a wave pattern breaking up the two between grey and white outlined in blue. Based on this image by the FHL Official twitter, the jerseys will likely be navy. It is also unclear if this primary will actually be featured on the jerseys, just the shark, or even a script jersey.

Which new logo do you like? How does this fit into the FHL landscape? Will you make some concepts for these two new teams? We hope to see them!
