Sunday: Keep it Coming!

Hi everybody. Sorry for the delayed post. We've had a really big news week this week with the Devils alternate jersey revealed, the Winter Classic Logos unveiled, and the Minnesota Whitecaps showing off their new logo; Let's keep the news coming later today with the unveiling of St. Louis' alternate jersey.

Websites wise, We still have the University of Michigan competition entries and the COTW.

U of Mich Competition Design Entries Due Friday, Aug 31st @ noon est
COTW Vote Aug 17-23rd ends Friday, Aug 31st @ noon est

Let's get to the concepts!

Burkus C- Philadelphia Quakers
Positives: Nice updated "Quakers" script on the front of the jersey. Also, I like the placement of the numbering on the front. It's an area that's rarely used by teams. Other nice things about this are the medium double striping on the arms and hem.
Negatives: That yoke that extends to the stripes seems out of place on this jersey. Also, the "P" and "A" on the shoulders just seem a bit out of place.
Overall: 7/10

Dan H- Ottawa Senators
Positives: The new side profile logo on the front of the jersey is no-brainer on this design. Also, the arm striping from the inaugural uniforms was a great idea.
Negatives: The shield logo on shoulders with the vintage white doesn't match with the crest logo and I'd like to see a little more white in the striping due to the white around the numbers.
Overall: 8/10

John E- Buffalo Sabres
Positives: What's really nice about this design is that it looks similar to the goat head but it has clear differences. The reversed arm striping (color on top instead of on the ends) looks really good and flows well on the jersey. The waist striping is nice as well. Finally, it's nice to the see "Sabre B" logo on the shoulders.
Negatives: My only negatives is that you didn't use the goat head itself.
Overall: 8.75/10 COTW NOMINEE!

Jordan R- HK Alni Jelgava
Positives: I like how you made the logo the focal point. as for the jersey design itself, I like that you have a large yoke on both the home and away jersey. It really adds to the jersey design and balances the colors well.
Negatives: The issues I have with this is that it's a very simple striping design. The half sleeve design with the single stripe to divide the arms is the highlight of this jersey and that's not a good thing. Take some time to give a slightly more appealing jersey.
Overall: 8/10

Okay guys that's all I got. Thanks for stopping by and have a good rest of the week.
