A Glimpse of the Sabres' Classic Jersey?

A 2018 Winter Classic hat popped up for sale on Shop.NHL.com which may give us an idea of what the Sabres will wear for the game.

The white hat may indicate that the Sabres will wear a white jersey (despite being the home team, officially). The double stripes on the side are the first of any indication of what we may see on a jersey at the 2018 Winter Classic.

If we were to speculate, and why not, we could say that this striping is possibly based on two different Sabres jerseys. The jersey that instantly came to my mind was the 2010 alternate jersey with the retro BUFFALO script across the front. Possibly the best wordmark jersey of all-time.

You could also speculate that the stripes on the hat are based on the socks from the original Sabres jerseys from 1970.

The hat provides another strong indicator that the circle logo with the NY at the bottom will be the primary logo for the Sabres at the Classic.
