Monday: Snake Eyes
Welcome to the Monday post!
This our last post at least for a bit with only two concepts! Thanks to everyone who sent stuff in, both new and veteran artists have got us up to about 5-6 per post so keep that up!
COTW this week has reset, check the concepts out on the side of the blog! Don't like either? You should nominate a concept in the comments. All it takes is being 2nd for a concept to be entered into the COTW vote in majority of cases. Votes are due Friday at noon!
The New York Islanders Redesign Competition is still in its Entry Phase. Entries are due THIS Friday at noon EST!
Let's look at some of the entries that have come in since last time they were posted. Remember that entires might not be posted everyday due to writers having schedules. We do our best but at the end of the day, all the entries that follow the rules will be in the gallery during the voting phase!

On with today's two concepts!
Boston Bruins Concept (By: FC Macbeth)
+ Can't say this isn't unique. I'm not against the idea of a checkerboard hockey jersey
+ Arm striping works well with the logo choices I think. If this were a home and road set that would work
+ Execution is improving, particularly in the logo pixelating
- There are two shades of yellow between the jersey and pants
- Primary logo is too far down
- The B shoulder patch has a couple issues. For one it's backwards, and two the inner part of the B should be black
- I get you're trying to draw inspiration from that Reactor Outfit thing on the side of the concept, and I can kind of see it, but it doesn't work. It should be a hockey jersey first, specifically Bruins jersey and Just don't think Bruins and Checkerboard work. Charlotte Checkers, most European club teams, University of Maryland, even the New York Rangers could work. One thing that would convince me of this would be having a white and black sock
- The white part under helmet straps should be the colour of the background!

West Coast Eagles AFL Crossover Concepts (By: Noah B.)
+ As probably the most well know AFL team (at least to me), and I think the look is mostly intact
+ The logo choice here over the one with the orange and navy works better
+ Solid execution
- I know the white-yellow bleeding would be difficult to prevent, but the way the Eagles do it now seems to work, which is putting them on the numbers
- The jerseys are a little plain, and interlocking WC on the shoulders would look great!
- Logo on the blue jersey should have a yellow outline

WOOOOOOOOOOOW I've never really liked the Islanders but that redesign for the most part is so perfect I would actually buy 2 of those jerseys. I would decide between a home and road and then get the city jersey. The Brooklyn I'm not crazy about but get why you made that. I'm just not crazy about the Islanders ever creating that jersey just because the basketball team did a black and white Jersey
Quite possibly the best concepts I've ever seen period
